Prerequisites: install one AI coding tool
Before starting, have at least one command-line tool (CLI) installed on your computer: Codex, Claude Code or OpenCode. You only need one for your first task. Sign in to Codex or Claude Code, or configure at least one model provider in OpenCode, and check that the tool works in your terminal. A provider desktop app alone is not enough. Have a local project folder ready. The three-minute walkthrough assumes these prerequisites are complete; provider installation and sign-in take extra time.
0:00 to 0:30: open VibeiDE
Install the current macOS build and open VibeiDE. First launch registers a hashed machine identifier and starts a 14-day trial with no card. The same machine cannot receive a fresh trial through another account. macOS is fully validated. Windows and Linux remain experimental.
0:30 to 1:00: check your provider
Choose your installed, ready-to-use provider in the first-task panel. If Codex or Claude Code is missing or signed out, the desktop first-run AI tool setup can help install it and sign in. OpenCode must be installed and configured separately. Complete provider setup before continuing the walkthrough.
1:00 to 1:30: pick a folder and queue
Choose a repository you can inspect. Keep the prefilled read-only prompt and click Queue my first task. It asks for the main entry point, test command and one small improvement, without editing files.
1:30 to 3:00: find the result
Watch the task and open its result when it reaches Ready for review. Check the named entry point and test command. Aim for a first result within five minutes of installation; provider latency, authentication and repository size can extend this.

First activation requires internet access. Sign in from the app. Desktop access does not require email verification.
