Privacy and data handling
How the VibeiDE website and local coding workspace handle data.
The local desktop workspace
Task prompts, activity, results, and attachments are stored on your machine. Authentication remains with the installed provider CLIs. Prompts and relevant repository context still reach your configured AI providers under their own services and terms. Local storage does not mean local model inference.
This website
The website serves product pages and supports accounts. It can set a signed visit cookie, valid for up to 90 days, to connect visits with account, download, and trial-interest activity. Acquisition records can include bounded campaign values and the referring hostname. Server-side request limits use a keyed representation of the client address. Account features process the information supplied during signup, sign-in, verification, and recovery.
The desktop sends allowlisted activation milestones when analytics is enabled; prompts, transcripts, paths and raw hardware IDs are excluded. Disable activation events in first-run setup. Hashed machine records prevent repeat trials. Product emails come from Patrik; paid users receive a monthly changelog. Manage product emails from Connect desktop and referrals. Marketing pages load their fonts and scripts from this site. They do not embed advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. The interactive homepage uses synthetic task data. A completion sound plays only when requested.
Account deletion revokes device tokens but retains pseudonymous machine records and Windows aliases. Sign in or contact support to recover access. Machine identifiers can be spoofed.
After upgrading, reconnect once to refresh access. Your saved work stays available. Verified offline access lasts at most 24 hours, never beyond entitlement expiry.
