Rate limited again: how to keep working when your Claude 5 hour window is full

Keep useful work moving during a provider limit. Open the provider usage display and read the reported reset window. Leave the limited provider alone until its allowance returns. Pick Codex for a separate task only if that account has capacity.

Try this workflow

Open the provider usage display and read the reported reset window. Leave the limited provider alone until its allowance returns. Pick Codex for a separate task only if that account has capacity.

Understand the boundary

Give Claude Code and Codex one slot each. Queue a read-only architecture audit with Codex while you review a completed Claude patch. Do not send the same writable request to both.

A concrete example

A queue slot governs a process. It does not replenish an account, bypass a usage policy, or migrate a live Claude conversation to Codex. Reset times are provider-reported estimates.

Review the result

After the window resets, inspect the limited task and retry or resume deliberately. Verify what it already changed before asking it to continue. VibeiDE does not promise automatic rate-window recovery.
