Match the request to an execution workflow
Use Execute for a focused task. Choose Plan council when you want Codex to author a plan or challenge a Claude-authored proposal. The reviewed plan reaches a separate execution handoff. A small mechanical edit and a migration do not need the same planning process.
Control capacity where the work lives
Each project has its own Codex limit. Queue additional prompts while current work runs, then edit or reorder waiting work as priorities change. Capacity determines dispatch; it does not establish that two simultaneous writes are independent. Prepare separate checkouts or sequence overlapping changes.
Inspect goals and implementation evidence
Task Activity can show runtime, current plan steps, Codex goals, commands, file changes, and results as the provider reports them. The original terminal remains available for interactive tasks. Use this visibility to understand the run before you review the code it produced.
Close the loop on each task
Completed work enters Ready for review. Open the result and inspect the available task-owned patches. Continue the supported saved conversation when you need a correction. Provider authentication remains in the CLI; VibeiDE does not replace the account or model allowance.
